Most Memorable Operation

On a daylight operation to Lohosen Fighter Base near Dusseldorf, on the 24 of December 1944 we were in a “Gaggle Formation” Heavy flac and we lost an engine and were diverted to Weatherfield a “Gliderstation”. Ken was born on October 2, 1921 at Stratford, Ontario. He went to Jesse Ketchum school. He enlisted on November 13, 1942 at Toronto. He was awarded his Air Gunner wing at #3 B&G at MacDonald on September 3, 1943. He was posted to England on October 9, 1943 and posted to #24 Operational Training Unit at Honeyburn. He was then posted to Middelton St.George, Durham and he did his tour on 419 and 428 Squadrons.

Ken was demobed at Toronto on 24 May 1945. He was employed in Aircraft Manufacturing. He attended the re hab school in Toronto and the University of New Brunswick. He is married to Patricia and they have two daughters, Nancy and Susan.         2000
