Remained in POW hospital in Bonn until Sept./44, when we were transfered in box cars to a hospital in Cologne. On February 14, 1945 we were once again moved by train to Frankfurt (Dulag Luft). During trip we were strafed by American Fighter pilots. Moved four days later to POW transit camp at Wetzlar.

Returned Frankfurt hospital and then on March 29, 1945 we were liberated by General Patton’s 4th Army Division and flown back to England .
